HPCC is excited to announce two NRA/USA Shooting/CMP Level 1 Marksmanship Coach Clinics scheduled for San Antonio, TX!
The first clinic will be for NRA/USA Shooting/CMP Level 1 Small Bore and Air Rifle Marksmanship Coach on September 5 + 6, 2026.

HPCC may set a minimum number of registered students who have paid the respective deposit to conduct any class or series of classes. No deposit for any class or series of classes will be collected unless that class, or series of classes has reached the minimum number of registered candidates who are willing to pay the respective deposit. Refunds are not offered to no-show candidates. Last minute substitutions may sometimes be allowed upon HPCC approval. Refunds are always offered on the rare occasion when HPCC cancels a class due to reasons beyond our control. So far, this has not been an issue.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are looking for the cheapest class you can find, we are not your training team. If you do not care about the level of experience an instructor has or does not have, we are not your training team. If you do not care about the level of certifications your instructor has or does not have, we are not your training team. If you are OK with an instructor who just became an instructor so they could make an extra buck, and/or who may have just started their shooting career, we are not your training team! If you are looking for an instructor who does this as a side hustle, we are not your training team!

Candidates are urged to bring lunch, drinks, snacks and a cooler each day. Lunch each day will be a working lunch to maximize class time productivity. Unless you will be bringing your mom with you, plan on cleaning up after yourself.
HPCC is based in Clovis, New Mexico. However, we provide classes throughout the United States, and its territories. If you have ever been to Clovis, NM you know why we take our show on the road! Let us bring the training to you, please? Our goal when we travel from Clovis, NM to offer classes is to do that as affordably as possible for our students. Obviously, the more students in a class, the more affordably we can offer these classes. Our goal each time we do this is to cover our expenses with a little left over to allow our instructors some freedom to explore and enjoy the area we are in. We do not need to make a huge profit.
We offer a robust list of classes including a large selection of instructor classes and a large selection of NRA/USA Shooting/CMP Coach certifying classes.
Our flexible class schedule can accommodate any day of the week, or weekend, and any shift.
Most classes of more than three hours can be taken in increments of as little as one hour at a time, over as many days as needed. These sessions do not need to be on consecutive days. For example, our instructors went to a company for one hour a day before the company opened to the public each weekday. We did this for two weeks to provide the academic training required for one of our classes. We then scheduled each employee to come with us to a shooting range for the required live fire qualification over a couple of weekends.
Live fire is restricted to the days and hours of locally available to HPCC shooting ranges; unless the customer has facilities that legally and safely accommodate live fire.*

HPCC is proud to announce one of our lead instructors has just been made a member of the NRA/USA Shooting/Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) National Coach Development Staff! Only approximately 12 new coaches have been made members of the NCDS since 2015!
The National Coach Development Staff (NCDS) is a volunteer network of coaches that hail from all across the United States in all of the shooting sports disciplines. This elite shooting staff is the backbone of the nation's shooting coach programs, teaching and fostering growth at all levels of the sport. Hand-picked by the National Coach Trainer for their ability to teach, coach, and develop the shooting sports, these individuals are carefully selected based on their talents and expertise in sports education and in specific shooting disciplines. The National Coach Trainer uses the NCDS to teach coach schools, conduct shooting clinics and serve as coaches for the National Shooting Teams.

We are frequently asked to travel to different parts of the country and offer trainings and certifications. Please contact us for information. Prices for classes may vary due to location. Hawaii and Alaska, we are looking at you when we think about pricing! Prices for classes are frequently reduced based on the number of paid candidates. Here is an example.
Let's say we are offering a two-day class at our primary location and are asking $499.00 for that class. Then let's say 25 candidates register for, pay the deposit for, and show up for the class. That is a gross of $12,475.00. Deduct approximately $2,500.00 for all the books and student materials including tax and shipping. Then deduct range fees for the live fire requirement. We have approximately $9,975.00 left. Now let's say we send two of our amazing trainers to put on this event. We do not need to make $2,500.00 per instructor per day; not that they are not worth that much and more! Not to mention the hours and hours of behind-the-scenes administrative work required to make these classes happen. We also have to cover travel, lodging and meals and such. However, we could adjust the price down for all attendees.

We offer several choices of curriculum that provide all the State of TX required firearms instructor certifications that will qualify a candidate to become eligible to apply to attend the TX State Police License to Carry a Concealed Weapon (LTC) Instructor School. The TX LTC Instructor School has the most in-depth training, and the most demanding live fire requirement of any state our staff is aware of, and the State of TX does not charge to attend that school. HPCC can provide the mandatory classes required to qualify a candidate to be able to apply to attend this free training (we charge for our training). Currently this is a three-day class held at the TX DPS Training Facility in Florence TX. The HPCC Instructor Team can help a potential candidate reach the level of shooting proficiency required to pass what is probably the most challenging CCW/LTC/CWL/CCL Instructor shooting requirement of any of the fifty states. *If a student has facilities available that legally allow the required live fire, those facilities may be used after the facilities have been inspected by, and if they meet the approval of an HPCC Range Safety Officer.

Having gone through concealed carry classes before I had a good idea of what to expect as far as what the class curriculum would entail. And to be honest, I half expected our instructor to regurgitate the same "by the book" training that a lot of other instructors use. I will say that I was pleasantly surprised that Coach Eric didn't bombard us with the usual mundane word for word of every slide of the training. Instead, he used a mix of modern and classic tools and materials to tie the two-day classroom and range days together. His approach to the training was very useful for someone like myself that has gone through these classes before as well as those classmates and teammates of mine that were attending CCW training for the first time. An added benefit was getting to spend more time with him and his lovely wife, Loretta, to further my learning and experience with his instructor training. Whether you're just starting out, or already have experience in carrying, I highly recommend taking advantage of Coach Eric's knowledge and expertise to build, or continue building, the skill set and confidence that self-defense carry demands.
